Presented in collaboration with James E. Lewis Museum, Morgan
State University. Loan exhibition organized by the Museum
of African Art, New York City, of work from the Ivory Coast
and Zaire exploring the changing identity of contemporary
Africa through its eclectic architectural traditions, juxtaposed
with the Petty collection of traditional African art and
collaborative artworks from two artist-community workshops.
Artist residency program initiated to facilitate project
development (1 week in duration).
Artists included in the exhibition: Aboudramane, Bodys Isek
Kingelez.
